Catherine Przondo, 80, of Newington and formerly of Bristol, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2016 with her daughter at her side. Catherine was born in Basiny Nowogrodek, Poland on June 10, 1935, she was the loving daughter of Jozef and Anastazja (Dawidowski) Woloszyn. She spent her childhood years in Africa and England before settling in Bristol in 1952 where she met and married her husband Lucian. Catherine was a devout catholic of strong faith, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was devoted to her family and was happiest spending time in the kitchen preparing meals for her family. Catherine is survived by her daughter Barbara and her husband John Torda of Newington; her son Steven Przondo of Wolcott; her grandchildren Michael Torda and his wife Anna of Wallingford; Christine Torda of Richmond, VA; David Przondo of Wolcott; Laura Przondo of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; her great granddaughter Julianna Torda of Wallingford; her sister Mary Warszakowski of Bristol; her sister in law Suzanne Woloszyn of Southington as well as many special nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Lucian, she was predeceased by her twin sister Felicia Gwara , her brother Stefan Woloszyn and his twin sister Sophia Szygiel.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 9 AM until 10:30 AM at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville/ Bristol followed by a procession to St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Catherine’s name to Masonicare Partners Home Health & Hospice, Administrative Office, 111 Founders Plaza, East Hartford, CT 06108 or to St. Stanislaus Church, 510 West St., Bristol, CT 06010.
