Obituaries: Wayne M. Stange

Wayne M. Stange, 73, of Bristol, husband of the late Bonita “Bonnie” L. (Chiarillo) Stange, died at home on Tuesday (June 7, 2016). Wayne was born in Bristol January 4, 1943 and was a son of the late Gustav W. and Eleanor (Winter) Stange.  He resided in Bristol all his life and was employed at the Bristol Police Department for 20 years before retiring in 1985 as a Sergeant. He then was employed at the Bristol Post Office for 20 years retiring in 2005 as a supervisor. He was currently a Real Estate Agent for Country Manor Realty. Wayne was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church Bristol, the Bristol Fish and Game Club the Jacklin Rod and Gun Club and he served with the U.S. Army. Wayne is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kevin and Olivia Stange of Simsbury and Craig S. Stange of Bristol; a daughter, Heidi Dennis of Bristol; a sister, Judith Potz of Bristol; six grandchildren, Shawn, Amanda, Scott, and Matthew Dennis and Kyle and Justin Fossum; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016, 11 AM, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 154 Meadow Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol.
