Boys and Girls Club, ESPN team up for STEAMFest

bbgc The Boys and Girls Club of Bristol Family Center and ESPN have teamed up to present STEAMFest 2015 on Saturday, Oct. 24. The event will offer a variety of activities, presentations and displays focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics for students of all ages and their families.

STEAMFest, which is being held at the Boys & Girls Club of Bristol Family Center, located at 255 West St. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. is free and open to the public. The aim of the event is to build awareness about STEAM for students and their families, while demonstrating how much fun these disciplines can be. More than 40 exhibits will showcase how these disciplines are inherent in many of the things we do every day.

Numerous exhibits from ESPN will be on display, including an entire television studio, which will show different components of how to put on a live TV program. Interactive experiences will be exhibited from the Connecticut Science Center, General Electric, Boeringer-Ingleheim, Talcott Mountain Academy, Operation PEACCE Robotics, the Connecticut Invention Convention, Imagine Nation, the University of Connecticut, Central CT State University, Manchester Community College, Trinity College, Cigna, and more.  For more information visit https://steamfest.espn.com.
