HISTORY OF MASONS IN BRISTOL. 7 p.m. Members of Franklin Lodge, No. 56, A.F. & A.M. will present a PowerPoint presentation about the history and importance of the Masons in Bristol. Organization has a history dating back to 1819. The Shepard Home on Hill Street, Chippens Hill was an early site. In the 1890s, the Masons moved to Main Street when it constructed the Masonic Building, occupying the third floor, while the rest of the building was occupied by the Muzzy Brothers Department Store.
