Stabbing at McDonald’s investigated

A man was stabbed in the early hours of July 24 at the Farmington Avenue McDonald’s restaurant, police reported. In a press release, the department said that on July 24, 2013 at 1:25 a.m., Bristol police officers responded to a call from the McDonald’s, 646 Farmington Ave. reporting a stabbing. Upon the officers’ arrival, the release said, they discovered a man who had suffered a “a severe laceration to his upper arm.” Police said the initial investigation indicates a disturbance took place between two groups of patrons and several people were involved in a fight. Police said the victim was transported via ambulance to the Hartford Hospital for medical treatment. A woman who suffered minor head injuries was transported to Bristol Hospital. Police said the incident is under investigation by the Bristol police. Anyone with information has been asked to contact police at (860) 584-3011
