The Bristol Farmer’s Market is returning to the Patch downtown at the corner of North Main Street and Riverside Avenue. The market will be held each Saturday from June 25 through Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Last year, the market debuted at The Patch (a green space designed by the city to support community programming) when it moved from Route 6 in an effort to use it as a foundation block to build vibrancy in the heart of downtown Bristol.
The market returns with Bristol All Heart– the community marketing initiative of the Bristol Chamber of Commerce and the City of Bristol—taking over the reins.
“We talked with the Northwest Family Farm Cooperative who did a great job, but they’re so busy with their farming operations,” said Mark Walerysiak Jr., brand and marketing manager for Bristol All Heart in a press release. “We saw that and explained our desire to build a support and volunteer infrastructure to make this thing huge over time, that way they can do what they do best and the market can be even stronger.”
A press release for the Bristol All Heart explained, “The vision for the market is to create a regional destination in downtown Bristol through a communal experience each weekend where people can connect with community members and local producers like farmers, artisans, crafters, food vendors, nonprofits, businesses, and more. Products range from farm fresh veggies, fruits and products of Gresczyk Farms, to honey and eggs from Farm All Farm, pickles, jams, jellies, and cheese of Twin Pines Farm, handcrafted soaps from Ridge Runner Soaps, and more.”
