It is with heartfelt sadness that we say good-bye to our loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and best friend who was a wonderful and genuinely caring person. Geoffrey Michael Pierce passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 17th 2016 at home.

Born in Bristol on November 6th 1989, Geoffrey was the son of Byron and Janice (Wallen) Pierce of Bristol. He was a 2007 graduate of Bristol Eastern High School where he was involved in sports and band and attended High Point University and Tunxis Community College.

Geoff loved baseball, and was a co-captain of his high school baseball team as well as a member of Bristol American Legion Post 2. Geoff continued to be involved in sports after college as a member of the Bristol Greeners and played on several local slow-pitch softball teams. Geoff was also a natural performer who had a knack for imitation, whether it is impersonations or his ear for music and song.

Along with his charismatic personality and contagious smile that would light up a room, anyone who knew him could sense his genuineness. Geoff always gave his undivided attention to a person, even if it was a stupid joke or you needed someone to talk to or needed advice. His keenness to your feelings made you feel special and valuable. We as family and friends were blessed to have Geoff in our lives, and we will continue to be blessed with Geoff watching over us.

Along with his loving parents, Geoff leaves behind a brother Gregory Pierce of Bristol, his maternal grandmother Nancy Wallen of Bristol, his paternal grandparents Bobby Sr. and Mattie Pierce of Bristol, his paternal uncle Bobby Pierce, Jr. of Orlando FL, his maternal uncle and aunt Glen and Karen (Gutzarus) Wallen of New Castle CO, his paternal aunt Marjorie Pierce of Bristol, his maternal aunt Kim Wallen and her special friend Rob Ronzello of Terryville CT, his paternal uncle Eric Pierce Jr. of Bristol, his maternal aunt and uncle Marjorie (Wallen) and Joe Bevivino of Bristol, and his paternal uncle and aunt Elliot and Barbara (Wilson) Pierce of Bristol, and his cousins Tina, Nick, Jeremy, Ben, Jacob, Antoine, Eric, Adam, Christian, Stephanie, Dean, Samantha, Carly and Wesley and Greyson, who he enjoyed so much spending time with. Geoff is predeceased by his paternal grandmother Annie C. Pierce and maternal grandfather John Wallen.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 1:00p.m. until 4:00p.m. at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol/Forestville. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016 beginning at the funeral home at 9:00a.m. to go in procession for a service at 10:00a.m. at the First Congregational Church at 31 Maple St., Bristol.  Committal services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations in Geoff’s memory can be made to www.Shatterproof.org.
