The first ever Boys Soccer Jamboree will be held on Saturday, Sept. 5.
The St. Paul Catholic High School boys soccer team is using the jamboree to help raise awareness and money for Tony and Judy Lodovico’s Turn the Town Teal Campaign to raise awareness about ovarian cancer.
A press release from the jamboree explained: “Tony Lodovico was a long time boys soccer coach at St. Paul’s along with being the athletic director for years.” The jamboree will have four teams playing a round robin format with each team playing three games.
The following teams have agreed to play in this event (Plainville High School, Northwest Region 7, Daniel Hand High School of Madison, and St. Paul Catholic High School.
The jamboree will take place between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Paul High School in Bristol.
The soccer booster club will be selling hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks. There also will be a raffle to help support both St. Paul Boys Soccer and Turn the Town Teal. Coach Tony Leone and the administration at St. Paul’s stress the importance on giving back to the community.
