All seats have been sold out for the Trolley Tour of the Historic Federal Hill scheduled this Sunday.
Presented by the American Clock & Watch Museum, the Bristol Historical Society and the Bristol Federal Hill Association, the 90-minute trolley tour will begin at three different times: 1 p.m., 2:15 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. Tours will begin in the First Congregational Church parking lot on Maple Street, across from the Federal Hill green, and will run rain or shine.
The trolley tour serves as the first-ever complete and comprehensive tour of Federal Hill, which is one of Bristol’s oldest neighborhoods and is the home of several museums and a library, as well as a large number of historic homes with different architectural styles.
Tom Dickau, president of the Bristol Historical Society, said all three organizations working together to organize the event is thrilled that tickets are completely sold out.
“All three organizations are very pleased with the response from the community,” said Dickau. “We’re excited it has sold out.”
Although tickets are all sold out, the public is invited to attend a free concert on the Federal Hill green after the tour. Cajun Ray and the Steamers, one of the area’s premier classic rock bands, will perform live at 5 p.m.
