150 YEARS ON PLAINVILLE’S CAMPGROUND HILL. Summer display at the Plainville Historic Center. Covers events and activities that took place on campground. Thousands of people took part in the activities there. During the early years of camp meetings, tents were the main shelter. A large one in the middle of the circle of tents was the tabernacle, where most activities took place. Over time, tents were replaced by small, brightly colored Victorian cottages.
