The City of Bristol has been notified by the contractor scheduled to repair the railroad rail at the Terryville Avenue crossing west of Clark Avenue that the work will not be performed today. The work is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday May 20.
The repair will consist of replacing a broken railroad rail at the Terryville Avenue railroad crossing located west of Clark Avenue. In addition to replacing the rail, other work will include minor repairs to the roadway adjacent to the railroad.
The work is scheduled to take one day to complete. During construction, traffic on Terryville Avenue will be reduced to alternating one way. Drivers are advised to utilize Clark Avenue and Terryville Road as a detour.
