The Flips Gymnastics Team strutted their stuff at the 2015 SOMERSault Jungle Jam Invitational, taking first place for AAU Bronze level teams.
Held on March 29 in Somers, CT, the Flips Team competed against five other local AAU Bronze level teams from GTC (Simsbury), TriTown Gymnastics (Tolland), All Stars Gymnastics (Windsor), SOMERSault Jungle (Somers), and Meriden Girls, Inc. (Meriden).
After a show of athleticism, grace, and team spirit, Flips took the top spot for the Bronze level division with a score of 112.15, followed by SOMERSault Jungle with a score of 111.85, and GTC with a score of 111.80. Scores were calculated using the top three highest scores per event.
The Flips Team continues to work towards their goals and looks forward to their next AAU Bronze level meets in April.
