In a press release, Anthony D’Amato announced that he is seeking the Republican nomination for city council from the 1st Council District. The 1st Council District covers the Northeast area of Bristol.
Incumbents for the district are fellow Republican Eric Carlson and Democrat Calvin Brown.
“I am a lifelong Bristol resident with strong ties to the community,” said D’Amato in his press release. He states in his release that once on the council he will: hold down taxes; support the mayor’s efforts with regard to code enforcement and blight; bring new businesses and job opportunities to Bristol; promote and market a positive image of Bristol; improve efficiencies within government;
Be an ally for the working taxpayer; and be a fierce opponent of policies that would increase Bristol’s long term financial liabilities without justification.
