The Young Professionals for United Way will be holding its 4th Annual Wine Gala on Friday, Dec. 5 at Chippanee Country Club in Bristol. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and tastings will occur until 8:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the United Way of West Central Connecticut.
The community is invited to this wine tasting fundraiser to sample over 70 wines, try many delicious hors d’oeuvres, and enter to win raffle prizes.
Maple End Package Store in Bristol will be providing the wine for the event and will be taking orders for the holiday season. Wines will be available to be picked up in mid-December to give as gifts or bring to holiday gatherings.
Tickets for this event are $50. This event has been sold out the last few years. Tickets must be bought ahead of time by calling the United Way at (860) 582-9559 or going to www.uwwestcentralct.org/young-professionals-united-way.
The group responsible for this event, the Young Professionals for United Way, is a group of 21 to 40 year-olds who are all interested in giving back to the community and making it a better place to live and work. They are a group of young professionals, who work at local businesses and schools, who offer fundraising, volunteering, and networking opportunities to other people their age.
