THANKSGIVING DINNER AT THE SENIOR CENTER. 11:30 a.m. Homemade, traditional Thanksgiving dinner for Plainville Senior Center members who would be otherwise alone on the holiday. Volunteers will provide transportation for those who need a ride to the center. No charge for dinner but donations appreciated. Plainville residents 60 and over who are homebound may call the center and have a dinner delivered. Register for dinner or to volunteer by Nov. 24. Plainville Senior Center, 200 East St., Plainville. AARP SMART DRIVER COURSE. 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Course covers the effects of aging and medication on driving, local hazards, accident prevention measures, and more. Films and discussions will be presented and a driver’s manual provided. No written or on the road test required. Upon completion of the course, an insurance company must give a discount of at least 5 percent on auto insurance.
